CPR Classes Available

Certifications are done through Eastern Care & Safety Institute. ECSI have the same standards as American Red Cross, only we are cheaper. If you are interested in learning CPR, please allow those who do this professionally to instruct you or your group.

Explorer Program

 
This is a community based program for youth residents ages 12-15 yrs of age. They learn basic first aid skills, CPR, participate in parades, and numerous fund raising activities. Explorers must maintain passing grades in all core subjects in school in order to participate in this program. For more information or an application, contact the Rescue Squad.

Cadet Membership

 

This is a membership for youth residents ages 16 & 17 yrs of age. Cadet members participate in all squad functions, gain hands on experience with ambulance operations, become CPR certified, and prepare to take the EMT exam. For more information or an application, contact the Rescue Squad.

First Aid
Becoming a Member  

As a member, you will be responding to a variety of emergency calls. Members are responsible for maintenance & general appearance of all equipment. Upon acceptance of your membership application, you must obtain your CPR card and be enrolled in an EMT certification program within a year of membership. You must complete a medical history form and receive a physical medical exam by a squad approved doctor, live or work in Franklin Township or live within 2 miles of the Franklin Township border. If you are interested in becoming a member, you may pick up an application at the Squad Building any Monday night @ 7 p.m. Or you can call and leave a message for a line officer @ 908-689-6909.
